I'm curious to see what people would do in my situation, not saying I will take anyone's advice but I'm struggling with my decision.

I have a 2000 Chevy Malibu that I'm constantly fixing, it has 126,000 miles on it, and feel like I'm always putting gas in, but I'm a college student and drive 40 minutes to class. So now I'm stuck between fixing my car: Evap system, and crank shaft sensor CEL codes, or going with a monthly car payment for a new or used car if they can offer less than $200/month. Hopefully new because I can't make car payments AND fix a car…so, any thoughts?

I'm looking at KIA's, and the certified pre owned used cars they have on their lot. I just dont want my car to break down for at least two years.

My mother sold me her car. Its an old 2001 Kia spectra sedan. (worthless in other words— as per dealers from dealerships,.. I'm not sure about kelley blue book)

She has a lien on it though ($1,300 is all)… So what will happen when I go to DMV to have it all ready for my name for me to get the tags and whatnot? What should I bring? Will there be any additional costs?

(I already tried searching via my state (Arizona) DMV website, but its not turning up results anywhere near what i'm asking for…. www.azdot.gov)

Just a silly thing a few of my mates and I are doing, naming our cars for a laugh. No idea what to call mine though, any help?

So, I am about to turn 16, and I recently went to the Houston Auto Show, and fell in love with the Lexus IS350. It seemed so nice and I have looked around online and used ones aren't too pricey. I am going to have around an $18,000 budget. I would most likely get a 2006, but maybe newer depending on the price. The main things I need in a car is safety, fuel efficiency, and five seats.
I am 16 years old I am a female, I love the mitsubishi eclipse style and I would love to have a sporty looking car I do not want a honda civic its just not what I am looking for my max. budget is 4,000 I am paying for the car nobody is helping so is there some good places where I could look for and buy cars I have already looked on craigs list is there anywhere else.
i have a 2011 mazda 2. it's a small hatchback, 5 speed. 100 hp flat, but a really zippy little car.

I'm in the process of getting a used car. Something that I don't have to spend too much on for gas and maintenance. I have some in mind, I just need help with which would be cheapest to insure, cheapest to maintain and reliable for another, say 3-5 years. I'm in college, budgets are tight and my budget would probably be at $2500. Here are my choices from most wanted to least. Throw in some good ones if you can, please!

BMW 1991 318is
Volkswagen Jetta 1998-2003
Chevrolet Cavalier 1999-2004
Pontiac Grand Am GT 1999-2002

I'm really wanting the foreign vehicles more than ever, but I know the cost that comes with it. Should I risk it or stay with American made vehicles? I also want to put into consideration, how expensive insurance; as in which of the four is cheapest to insure.

Hi,

I am looking for a reliable car with very good mpg under 12.000 for daily commute and shopping trips etc.

So far I found:
2007 Honda Civic w/ 50k miles
2010 Toyota Corolla w/ 40k miles
2010 Hyundai Elantra w/ 29k miles
2010 Mazda3 w/ 40k miles

Which is the best and are there any other cars I should consider that get about 30 mpg or more?

Thanks
