Left my car in a town centre car park today, when I came back to it 30 mins later, all 4 windows were exactly half way down and the car was unlocked. Nothing was taken from inside, my wallet and Ipod were still in the glove compartment. No sign of forced entry, nothing taken or vandalised at all. Am I crazy to think the car might have malfucntioned all on its own? Unlocked itself and wound the windows down?

if you hold the unlock button on the key, the doors unlock and if you hold long enough, the windows go down. my guess, is the button was pressed in your pocket.

This has happened to be before but unfortunately for me, it was snowing that day and my moon roof opened along with my windows (all the way).

If you hold the unlock button, it will unlock the doors and roll your windows down & open your moon roof. This happens when you're within range of the car and happen to sit on the button. So if you park the car close to where ever you stay, you should keep your keys out of your back pocket.

If the car has a system on board that can do that if triggered in some way then maybe it went wrong – IF NOT then its down to the nut behind the steering wheel who leaves valuables in the car. Car thieves do know to check the glove box you know.
